North Sac Beat added

From the first post:

The blog will cover the general events and news of North Sacramento from the happenings in the City Council, to events throughout the community. Also, the blog will post crime bulletins as they become available.

A slow death

I went six days without clearing my Google Reader. I had more than 1,000 blog posts from the many fine blogs (and those others) listed here. My original concept here was that I would daily -- and sometimes more often -- skim through the posts and add additional categories. For instance, identifying presidential election material.

That's just not going to happen in the future. I have too much real work and too many new interests, not least of which are the three classes I'm taking at American River College.

If anyone was actually counting on me adding those extra tags to posts, I apologize. The site will continue and if I see new blogs, I'll add them.  For instance, I need to add the feeds for the new SacramentoPress.com site.

Flying Glass

Suddenly, I became homeless. The reason -- or the sequence of events getting me here -- is rather straightforward, but behind it all is a long ridiculous story. I'll relate all that to y'all in bits along the way.

But let me begin with the beginning of homeless- carless- ness, when, in the distance, I could hear sirens and I strongly suspected that the shrill, piercing noice was all about me. . . .

The spreading Elk Grove blogosphere
